CAFA Development Organization in Khartoum recently hosted the regular meeting of national and international organizations on environmental sanitation and Nile flood preparedness.
The meeting was organized by the Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Commission. It was chaired by the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Mr. Khaled Abdelrahim Ahmed.
Participants included Khartoum Civil Defense Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, and the General Administration of Roads and Bridges. In addition, several national and international organizations active in this field attended.
During the meeting, organizations committed to taking all necessary actions to address rising Nile levels. Furthermore, they pledged to support environmental sanitation initiatives. In addition, they will raise awareness in areas affected by high water levels.
Finally, the organizations confirmed their readiness to intervene under all emergency conditions. This ensures a coordinated and effective response.
استضافت منظمة كافا للتنمية بولاية الخرطوم الاجتماع الدوري للمنظمات الوطنية والدولية حول النظافة البيئية والاستعداد لفيضانات النيل في الخرطوم.
نُظّم الاجتماع بواسطة مفوضية العمل الطوعي والإنساني وترأسه مفوض العون الإنساني السيد خالد عبدالرحيم أحمد.
وشارك في الاجتماع إدارة الدفاع المدني بولاية الخرطوم، وزارة الزراعة والري، والإدارة العامة للطرق والجسور، بالإضافة إلى المنظمات الوطنية والدولية العاملة في هذا المجال.
وخلال الاجتماع، التزمت المنظمات باتخاذ جميع الإجراءات اللازمة لمواجهة ارتفاع مناسيب النيل والفيضانات المحتملة كما تعهدت بدعم مبادرات النظافة البيئية ورفع الوعي في المناطق المتأثرة بارتفاع منسوب المياه.
وأكدت المنظمات جاهزيتها للتدخل في جميع الظروف الطارئة، لضمان استجابة منسقة وفعّالة.
