Community Awareness Campaign in Kabara Village
As part of the Child Protection Project in West Kordofan, funded by UNICEF and implemented with the State Council for Child Welfare, CAFA Development Organization – West Kordofan Office carried out a successful community awareness campaign in Kabara Village, Al-Fula locality. The campaign is part of a series of initiatives to protect children in conflict-affected communities.
Focus on Child Protection
The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of child recruitment. It also highlighted the risks of handling weapons, unexploded ordnance, and other war remnants. These threats remain serious challenges for children living in vulnerable areas.
Interactive and Educational Activities
During the event, the CAFA protection team facilitated interactive sessions. They covered children’s rights, protection from exploitation and violence, and key messages for families and the community. These sessions encouraged participants to engage actively and understand the importance of safeguarding children.
Community Participation and Impact
The event recorded high community engagement, especially from children who participated enthusiastically in games and discussions. Participants praised CAFA and its partners for promoting child safety and raising awareness about the risks of war.

حملة توعية مجتمعية في قرية كبارة
في إطار مشروع الحماية بولاية غرب كردفان، الممول من اليونيسف وبالتعاون مع مجلس رعاية الطفولة بالولاية، نفذت منظمة كافا للتنمية – مكتب غرب كردفان حملة توعية مجتمعية ناجحة في قرية كبارة – محلية الفولة. تأتي هذه الحملة ضمن سلسلة أنشطة تهدف إلى حماية الأطفال في المجتمعات المتأثرة بالنزاعات.
التركيز على حماية الأطفال
هدفت الحملة إلى رفع الوعي حول مخاطر تجنيد الأطفال، وتسليط الضوء على مخاطر التعامل مع الأسلحة وبقايا الذخائر ومخلفات الحرب، التي تشكل تهديدًا كبيرًا للأطفال في المناطق الضعيفة.
الأنشطة التفاعلية والتعليمية
قدّم فريق الحماية التابع لمنظمة كافا جلسات تفاعلية وتعليمية تناولت حقوق الأطفال، وسبل حمايتهم من الاستغلال والعنف، إضافة إلى رسائل توعوية موجهة للأسر والمجتمع حول أهمية حماية الأطفال من آثار الحرب.
مشاركة المجتمع والأثر
شهدت الفعالية تفاعلًا كبيرًا من المجتمع المحلي، وخاصة الأطفال الذين شاركوا بنشاط في النقاشات والألعاب التعليمية. وأشاد المشاركون بجهود منظمة كافا وشركائها في تعزيز السلام والأمان ونشر ثقافة حماية الأطفال.
