Acknowledging CAFA’s Role in Community Development
The Executive Director of Al-Qurashi Locality, Mr. Nour Al-Daem Abdul-Mahmoud, praised the great efforts of CAFA Development Organization in Gezira State. Moreover, he highlighted CAFA’s consistent commitment to supporting both women and men through inclusive community projects.
He also thanked local and international organizations for their continued assistance during the country’s difficult wartime conditions. Furthermore, he described CAFA’s presence as bright and inspiring, leaving a positive mark and promoting hope for affected families.
Building Awareness and Supporting Recovery
Mr. Abdul-Mahmoud noted that war had created serious social and psychological impacts, particularly on women, children, and displaced families. Therefore, he encouraged participants to apply their new knowledge to raise awareness and reduce the risks of ammunition waste.
He also saluted the Sudanese Armed Forces for their dedication and sacrifices, while paying tribute to the martyrs of dignity.
Workshop Goals and Partnerships
The workshop targeted community leaders, teachers, and child protection networks. It focused on safe handling and awareness of ammunition waste.
It was organized by CAFA Development Organization in partnership with the Council for Child Welfare and the Humanitarian Aid Commission in Gezira State. Moreover, it was part of a UNICEF-funded project that aims to improve the well-being of children and their families affected by war.
Women’s Participation and Community Empowerment
Dr. Bushra Al-Amin, Director of Social Welfare, praised CAFA for its efforts to include women, girls, and vulnerable groups in recovery programs. Likewise, Mr. Ibrahim Radwan, CAFA’s Director in Gezira State, thanked local authorities and security institutions for their continuous cooperation.
He explained that Managil and Al-Qurashi localities had hosted CAFA during the conflict. In addition, he appreciated the National Mine Action Center for opening a clearance office in Wad Madani.
Promoting Safety and Knowledge Sharing
Mr. Radwan noted that Al-Qurashi was chosen because it was previously a frontline area that needed awareness about war remnants. He also encouraged trainees—both women and men—to share their knowledge with others to enhance community safety.
Finally, Mr. Magzoub Abdul-Hafiz, speaking for the trainees, thanked CAFA and Ms. Habouba Osman for their dedication. The workshop concluded with certificate distribution to 25 participants, held from October 15th to 22nd in Al-Qurashi locality.

الإشادة بدور كافا المجتمعي الشامل
أشاد المدير التنفيذي لمحلية القرشي الأستاذ نور الدائم عبد المحمود بالجهود الكبيرة التي تبذلها منظمة كافا للتنمية بولاية الجزيرة
علاوة على ذلك، أوضح أن كافا تواصل أداء دورها الفاعل والمؤثر في مجالات التنمية والعمل الإنساني داخل المحلية
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، وجّه شكره العميق لكل المنظمات المحلية والدولية التي قدّمت الدعم للمجتمعات خلال ظروف الحرب الصعبة
كما وصف وجود كافا بأنه حضور مشرق ترك أثراً طيباً، وأسهم في تعزيز الصمود الاجتماعي بين النساء والرجال على حدٍّ سواء
تعزيز الوعي والتعافي المراعي للنوع الاجتماعي
وأشار المدير التنفيذي إلى أن الحرب خلّفت آثاراً اجتماعية ونفسية قاسية، خاصة على الأطفال والنساء والأسر النازحة
لذلك، دعا المشاركين إلى تطبيق ما تلقوه من تدريبات داخل مجتمعاتهم، لرفع الوعي والحدّ من مخاطر مخلفات الذخائر
كما وجّه التحية إلى القوات المسلحة السودانية والقوات المساندة لها على تضحياتها وإنجازاتها، مترحماً على شهداء معركة الكرامة
أهداف الورشة والشراكات الاستراتيجية
اختتمت الورشة التدريبية لقادة المجتمع والمعلمين وشبكات حماية الطفل حول إدارة مخلفات الذخائر
وقد نظمتها منظمة كافا للتنمية بالشراكة مع مجلس رعاية الطفولة وبالتنسيق مع مفوضية العون الإنساني بولاية الجزيرة
إضافة إلى ذلك، تأتي الورشة ضمن مشروع ممول من منظمة اليونيسف، يهدف إلى تحسين رفاه الأطفال وأسرهم المتأثرين بالحرب
تمكين المجتمعات ومشاركة النساء
رحب مدير الرعاية الاجتماعية الدكتور بشرى الأمين بوفد منظمة كافا، مثمناً جهودها المستمرة في دعم النساء والفتيات والأسر الضعيفة
كما عبّر مدير كافا بالولاية الأستاذ إبراهيم رضوان عن شكره للسلطات المحلية والأجهزة الأمنية لتسهيل مهام المنظمة خلال فترة الحرب
وأشار إلى أن محليتي المناقل والقرشي احتضنتا كافا خلال فترة النزاع، كما ثمّن جهود المركز القومي لمكافحة الألغام لافتتاحه مكتباً بمدينة ود مدني.
وأوضح أن المشروع يشمل محليات جنوب الجزيرة، وود مدني، والمناقل، ويركّز على التوعية المجتمعية المراعية للنوع الاجتماعي حول مخلفات الحرب
استدامة المعرفة وحماية المجتمع
وأكد رضوان أن اختيار محلية القرشي جاء لأنها كانت منطقة تماس خلال الحرب، مما يستدعي تعزيز الوعي بمخاطر الذخائر
كما دعا المشاركين والمشاركات إلى نقل ما اكتسبوه من خبرات إلى مجتمعاتهم، لحماية الأسر وتعزيز شبكات السلامة المحلية
ومن جانبه، عبّر الأستاذ مجذوب عبد الحفيظ ممثل المتدربين عن شكره وتقديره لمنظمة كافا والأستاذة حبوبة عثمان على جهودها الكبيرة في تنفيذ الورشة
وفي ختام الفعالية، تم توزيع الشهادات على خمسةٍ وعشرين متدرباً ومتدربة، بعد مشاركتهم في الورشة التي استمرت من 15 إلى 22 أكتوبر بمحلية القرشي
