Health Awareness and Education Campaign
CAFA Development Organization – Blue Nile State, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and British Aid, launched a Health Awareness and Education Campaign to stop the spread of COVID-19. The initiative reflects CAFA’s strong commitment to protecting community health and improving awareness in vulnerable areas.
Campaign Objectives
The main goal of the campaign was to increase public awareness about hygiene and disease prevention. It also aimed to reduce infection rates through education, mask distribution, and sanitizer use.
In addition, the campaign promoted cooperation between local communities and health authorities to create safer public spaces. Furthermore, it included awareness about cholera, recognizing the dual health challenges affecting the region.
Target Areas and Beneficiaries
The campaign reached more than 1,500 people in several busy areas. Activities were carried out in Al-Amarat Market – Southern Section, a crowded location with high daily interaction.
Another session was organized at the Sheikh Amir Center for Quran Education, where participants learned about COVID-19 and cholera prevention. Volunteers explained proper handwashing, mask-wearing, and safe water practices.
Key Activities and Volunteer Efforts
Trained volunteers led sessions, distributed masks, and provided sanitizers to residents. They also used posters and local-language messages to ensure everyone understood the guidance.
Despite heavy rain, the volunteers continued their work with dedication. Their persistence showed strong commitment to community safety and public service.
Impact and Future Plans
The campaign improved public understanding of COVID-19 and cholera prevention. As a result, many people adopted safer hygiene habits and shared information with others.
Moreover, the campaign strengthened trust between communities and health institutions. Moving forward, CAFA Development Organization plans to continue awareness programs to build resilience and maintain public health preparedness.

أطلقت منظمة كافا للتنمية – ولاية النيل الأزرق، بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP) وبدعم من المساعدات البريطانية (British Aid)، حملة توعية وتثقيف صحي للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19).
وتعكس الحملة التزام منظمة كافا بحماية الصحة العامة وتعزيز الوعي المجتمعي في المناطق الضعيفة.
أهداف الحملة
هدفت الحملة إلى زيادة معرفة المواطنين بأساليب النظافة والوقاية من الأمراض. كما سعت لتقليل معدلات العدوى من خلال التثقيف وتوزيع الكمامات والمعقمات.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، عززت الحملة التعاون بين المجتمعات المحلية والجهات الصحية لضمان سلامة الأماكن العامة. علاوة على ذلك، شملت الحملة التوعية حول مرض الكوليرا نظرًا لتحديات الصحة المزدوجة في المنطقة.

استهدفت الحملة أكثر من 1500 شخص في أماكن مزدحمة. نفذت الأنشطة في سوق العمارات – القسم الجنوبي، وهو موقع مكتظ يتسم بالاختلاط اليومي.
كما تم تنظيم جلسة توعية في مركز شيخ أمير لتعليم القرآن، حيث تلقى المشاركون معلومات عن الوقاية من كوفيد-19 والكوليرا. شرح المتطوعون طرق غسل اليدين وارتداء الكمامات وممارسات المياه الآمنة.
الأنشطة وجهود المتطوعين
قاد المتطوعون المدربون جلسات توعية ووزعوا الكمامات والمعقمات على السكان. كما استخدموا ملصقات ورسائل باللغة المحلية لضمان فهم الجميع للإرشادات.
وبالرغم من هطول الأمطار الغزيرة، واصل المتطوعون عملهم بإصرار وتفانٍ، مما أظهر التزامهم بحماية المجتمع وخدمة المواطنين.
الأثر والخطط المستقبلية
ساهمت الحملة في رفع مستوى الوعي حول الوقاية من كوفيد-19 والكوليرا. ونتيجة لذلك، تبنى العديد من السكان ممارسات صحية أفضل وشاركوا المعلومات مع الآخرين.
من جهة أخرى، عززت الحملة الثقة بين المجتمع المحلي والمؤسسات الصحية. وفي المستقبل، تخطط منظمة كافا للتنمية لمواصلة برامج التوعية لضمان الاستعداد والاستجابة لأي تحديات صحية مستقبلية.
