Community Support Initiative: First Day of the Takiya in Tawila
The city of El Fasher and nearby areas continue to face difficult humanitarian conditions. Therefore, the Takiya (Community Kitchen) Initiative began its first day of activities in Tawila to support displaced families who are struggling to secure daily meals.
Purpose of the Initiative
The Takiya aims to provide hot meals every day to families who lost their sources of income due to displacement. In addition, the initiative helps reduce the pressure on households and strengthens community support.
