Project Overview
CAFA Development Organization implemented this project to improve livelihoods for youth with disabilities through practical vocational training programs.
The project also promoted peace and encouraged people with disabilities to actively participate in public life in Blue Nile State.
Youth engaged in civic dialogue sessions, where they shared opinions and participated in local decision-making processes effectively.
Project Location and Scope
The project covered Blue Nile State, focusing on Bau, Altdamon, Damazin, Rosseris, and Giessan localities with high needs for skills development.
CAFA prioritized areas where youth with disabilities faced exclusion from educational, economic, and social opportunities in their communities.
By focusing interventions on these localities, the organization reached marginalized populations and ensured meaningful participation in livelihood and civic programs.
Vocational Training and Livelihoods
The project provided youth with disabilities vocational training tailored to market opportunities and individual interests to improve employment prospects.
Participants learned practical skills in crafts, technical services, small business management, and entrepreneurship to enhance self-reliance.
Mentors guided youth in applying new skills to real-life situations, ensuring participants could secure sustainable livelihoods independently.
Peacebuilding and Civic Engagement
CAFA facilitated civic dialogue sessions to engage youth in discussions on community priorities and conflict resolution strategies.
Participants interacted directly with local authorities and community leaders, enhancing inclusion and representation in decision-making processes.
By combining vocational training and civic engagement, the project strengthened both economic empowerment and social inclusion for youth with disabilities.
Funding and Support
USAID Sudan funded the project, demonstrating international commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in Blue Nile State.

من خلال التركيز على هذه المحليات، ضمنت المبادرة وصول الدعم إلى الفئات المهمشة المستبعدة غالبًا من البرامج التعليمية والاقتصادية
التدريب المهني وتحسين سبل العيش
حصل المشاركون على تدريب مهني مطابق لاهتماماتهم وفرص السوق المحلي لتعزيز قدرتهم على التوظيف وكسب الدخل المستدام
شمل التدريب المهارات العملية في الحرف اليدوية والخدمات التقنية وإدارة المشاريع الصغيرة وريادة الأعمال للتمكين طويل الأمد
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، قدّم المشروع جلسات توجيه وإرشاد لدعم الشباب في تطبيق المهارات المكتسبة على أرض الواقع لضمان سبل عيش مستدامة
بناء السلام والمشاركة المدنية
أنشأت جلسات الحوار المدني فضاءات للشباب ذوي الإعاقة للمشاركة في مناقشة أولويات المجتمع وحل النزاعات المحلية
عزز المشروع عملية صنع القرار الشاملة، مما مكّن المشاركين من التفاعل بفعالية مع السلطات المحلية وقادة المجتمع
من خلال الجمع بين التدريب المهني والمشاركة المدنية، ساهم المشروع في تعزيز التمكين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للشباب ذوي الإعاقة
التمويل والدعم
تم تمويل هذه المبادرة من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية – السودان، بما يعكس التزام المجتمع الدولي بدعم الفئات الضعيفة
بفضل هذه الجهود المشتركة، نجحت منظمة كافا في تمكين الشباب ذوي الإعاقة لتحقيق استقلالية أكبر وتحسين سبل العيش وزيادة المشاركة المجتمعية
