Within the framework of the free mobile clinics project targeting East Nile, Omdurman (Umbadda), and Bahri localities, and as part of the partnership program between Cafa Organization for Development and the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Cafa Organization for Development team visited East Nile area – Haj Yousif, Al-Falah Health Center, North Block 3.
The clinic witnessed a very high turnout on the first day of activities in East Nile locality. A total of 100 patients of different age groups—elderly people, women, children, and youth—were seen at the general physician’s clinic. The pharmacy also recorded a high rate of attendance, with 100 medical prescriptions dispensed. In addition, the mental health clinic received 18 cases, while the midwifery clinic attended to 20 women for antenatal follow-up and consultations. This reflects the outcomes of the first day of the clinic.
On the second day, the mobile clinic moved to Haj Yousif Al-Radmiya at Health Center Block 17. The general physician’s clinic received 100 patients during this day, with 95 prescriptions dispensed. The mental health clinic recorded 19 cases, while 28 women accessed midwifery and women’s healthcare services.
The mobile clinics will continue to operate across approximately 17 health centers to ensure coverage of most areas in East Nile, Umbadda, and Bahri localities.
