Overview

CAFA Development Organization organized a coordination and consultation meeting in Um Rawaba locality on 16 December 2025. The meeting was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and supported by UNICEF.

Objective of the Meeting

The main objective was to strengthen child protection services and improve access to essential support for displaced and vulnerable children. In addition, the meeting aimed to enhance coordination among protection partners and improve referral pathways.

Key Discussions

Participants reviewed major challenges affecting service delivery for children and caregivers in need. Moreover, they shared field experiences and identified gaps in protection mechanisms across the locality.

Outcomes and Recommendations

Therefore, the meeting concluded with practical recommendations focused on:

• Improving coordination among protection actors
• Strengthening referral systems for vulnerable children
• Enhancing access to essential protection services
• Supporting caregivers and community-based protection mechanisms
