In partnership with the International Rescue Committee, CAFA Organization implemented the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) project to support displaced families from Kordofan and Darfur, achieving the following:

• Registration of 693 displaced households.

• Direct cash assistance provided to 203 households out of the 693.

• Issuance of new legal identification documents for 28 beneficiaries.

Beyond cash assistance, the project also included:

• Awareness sessions to protect women and children from exploitation.

• Community assessments conducted in coordination with local authorities.

• Guidance to families on turning cash support into small income-generating projects, alongside awareness on small investments and community protection.

• Cash transfers through banks and direct distributions for families unable to open bank accounts.

• Legal support to restore national identity documents.

💡 Impactful Stories:

A mother received assistance just one day after giving birth, feeling that someone stood by her during one of the hardest moments of her life.

A young man who lost his national ID was able to recover his identity thanks to legal support, ensuring his right to safety and dignified living.

Despite significant challenges, the project contributed to strengthening the resilience of displaced communities and improving their ability to cope with the ongoing crisis.
