Cafa Organization for Development participated in coordinating the celebration of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, in collaboration with the Unit for Combating Violence Against Women and Children in North Kordofan, and in the presence of the Director General of the Social Development Sector, along with representatives of organizations and institutions working in the field of protection.

The event was held at the Unified Displacement Camp, which hosts more than 3,200 displaced families from various areas. The program addressed the risks of violence, the objectives of the 16 Days Campaign, and the challenges faced by women during displacement. It also included drama and musical performances through which the community expressed its engagement and joy in participating in the event.

The representative of cafa Organization emphasized that violence against women and children is one of the most serious challenges exacerbated in displacement contexts, highlighting the importance of joint efforts between organizations and government entities to strengthen protection systems within displacement camps and host communities. He also stressed the need for continued awareness-raising and for empowering women to access essential services and psychosocial support, in addition to supporting community-based initiatives that contribute to creating a safe environment that respects rights and combats all forms of violence. He reaffirmed that cafa Organization will continue its work and partnerships to ensure better protection for the most vulnerable groups.
