Supporting the Health Referral Fund in Sinkat Locality

As part of ongoing efforts to improve maternal health and strengthen reproductive health services,Cafa Organization for Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health – Reproductive Health Directorate, and with the support and funding of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), conducted a specialized training for health workers in Sinkat Locality – Helgit Area.

The activity targeted 10 health workers and aimed to:

• Strengthen skills on effective health referral systems

• Enhance rapid and safe referral of emergency cases to ensure timely access to appropriate medical care

• Contribute to the reduction of maternal mortality rates through improved quality and speed of health response

Cafa’s Support:
Cafa Organization provided direct financial support to the Health Referral Fund, reinforcing its sustainability and improving operational mechanisms to ensure continuous delivery of life-saving services in the area.

This activity represents a key step toward building a more efficient and integrated local health system, particularly in rural communities, leading to better maternal health outcomes and reduced pregnancy- and childbirth-related complications and deaths.
