successfully concluded a comprehensive three-day training workshop in East Al-Gezira Locality, covering four target areas: Rufa’a, Dalout Al-Bahr, Bant, and Buayda.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of community nutrition volunteers in identifying, managing, and preventing severe and moderate acute malnutrition, while emphasizing the importance of community awareness and early detection to improve child health outcomes.

Volunteers received theoretical sessions on the causes and signs of malnutrition, proper screening methods, and effective communication techniques, followed by a practical session at Rufa’a Hospital focusing on case management within the Outpatient Therapeutic Program and Stabilization Center.

The closing ceremony included certificate distribution, attended by the Director of Health Affairs, the Nutrition Officer at Rufa’a Hospital, and CAFA’s Health and Nutrition Officer, who commended the volunteers’ dedication and stressed the importance of continuing community-based nutrition activities.
