As part of its partnership with the Ministry of Health in Al Jazirah State, CAFA Development Organization participated in the launch of activities marking World Breastfeeding Week, organized by the Nutrition Department of the Ministry of Health in Al Jazirah State, with the participation of government representatives, humanitarian organizations, and partners.
The launch featured several activities, including a celebratory procession, opening ceremony, remarks by the Director of the Nutrition Department and the Director of Primary Health Care, as well as remarks from the representative of the State Governor and Minister of Social Welfare, the Acting Minister of Health, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, the UNICEF representative, and representatives of participating organizations.
The event also included the opening of a breastfeeding exhibition, presentations of success stories from mothers, and an awareness-raising theatrical performance. The event concluded with the recognition of national and international partners in appreciation of their contributions to supporting and strengthening health and nutrition efforts.
CAFA Development Organization emphasizes that World Breastfeeding Week is more than a celebration; it is a renewed message and an ongoing commitment to raising awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and its role in protecting children and supporting their health, growth, and development.
