📍 Gezira State – Sudan

As part of the field visits conducted by the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) together with international and national partners in Gezira State, a joint delegation visited Al-Buwaida Water Station in East Gezira Locality to review ongoing humanitarian interventions across the state.

During the visit, representatives from SHF and Relief International observed the solar energy system installed by CAFA Development Organization in partnership with Relief International and with support from the Sudan Humanitarian Fund.

Expanding Access to Safe Water

The project provides access to safe and clean water for more than 7,500 beneficiaries in the area. Furthermore, the solar-powered system enhances the sustainability of water services through a reliable and environmentally friendly energy source.

In addition, the SHF delegation commended the efforts of CAFA Development Organization and Relief International in improving water services and supporting vulnerable communities.

Community Appreciation for Humanitarian Interventions

Meanwhile, the Al-Buwaida Village Committee expressed its appreciation to the supporting and implementing organizations for their valuable contributions.

Moreover, the committee praised the successful interventions delivered in the sectors of water, health, nutrition, sanitation, and protection, which have positively impacted local communities.
