Enhancing Staff Capacities in Project Management and MEAL
As part of its efforts to build staff capacity and enhance the quality of humanitarian programs, the Kafa Development Organization (White Nile Office), in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), conducted a refresher training course on the practical application of project management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL). This initiative was carried out under the Joint Response to the Protracted Crisis in Sudan (JR5) project.
The course targeted personnel involved in program implementation and management, government entities, national organizations, and community committees in Kosti and Rabak. It focused on enhancing practical skills in project planning, implementation monitoring, results measurement, the application of accountability principles, and the extraction of lessons learned—all aimed at improving the quality of humanitarian interventions and boosting institutional performance efficiency.

The course also provided a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing best practices in humanitarian project management, thereby enhancing coordination among working teams and supporting evidence- and data-based decision-making.
