Within the partnership between CAFA Organization for Development and CARE International, and in cooperation with the Humanitarian Aid Commission and the Ministry of Social Welfare in Abu Saad Locality, CAFA Organization for Development, as the national partner of CARE International, participated in the implementation of the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance Project funded by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).
The project targeted specific vulnerable groups based on defined criteria and beneficiary selection standards. Two months ago, the first tranche of cash assistance was disbursed, amounting to 720 Sudanese Pounds per household. Currently, the second tranche is being distributed, valued at 360 Sudanese Pounds, completing the total assistance amount of 1,080 Sudanese Pounds per household for the areas of Al-Salha and Abu Saad.
A total of 500 individuals were registered in Al-Salha, while 320 individuals were registered in Abu Saad. Cash distributions have continued for the third consecutive day to complete payments to the 500 beneficiaries in Al-Salha, as well as to beneficiaries in Abu Saad (Al-Fetihab area).
