Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance Distribution

As part of the ongoing partnership, CAFA Development Organization, in collaboration with CARE International, and in coordination with the Humanitarian Aid Commission and the Ministry of Social Welfare in Abu Saad Locality, is implementing the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance Project.

The project is funded by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).

Targeting Vulnerable Groups

The initiative focuses on supporting vulnerable groups based on clear selection criteria and beneficiary targeting standards.
As a result, assistance is directed to those most in need.

Cash Assistance Distribution Phases

Two months ago, the first tranche of cash assistance was distributed.
Each household received 720 Sudanese Pounds during this phase.

Currently, the second tranche is being distributed, valued at 360 Sudanese Pounds per household.
This brings the total assistance to 1,080 Sudanese Pounds per household in Al-Salha and Abu Saad.

Beneficiary Coverage and Progress

In total, 500 beneficiaries were registered in Al-Salha, while 320 beneficiaries were registered in Abu Saad.

Moreover, cash distribution has continued for the third consecutive day to complete payments.
This includes finalizing support for beneficiaries in Al-Salha and Abu Saad (Al-Fetihab area).

Supporting Community Resilience

Overall, the project plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable households.
Ultimately, it contributes to improving living conditions and strengthening community resilience across Khartoum State 🌙💪
