Gezira State – East Gezira Locality (Rufa’a, Bant, Dalot Al-Bahar, Al-Buwayda)
As part of efforts to improve safe motherhood and reduce maternal and newborn mortality, CAFA  Development Organization, in partnership with Relief International and with support from the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health – Gezira State, conducted a field activity to deliver Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM) equipment to Community Health Workers (CHWs).

The event was attended by the Director of Health Affairs in East Gezira Locality, under the framework of the Multi-Sectoral Response Project (Health, Nutrition, WASH, Non-Food Items, and Protection).

The project aims to strengthen reproductive health awareness, improve family and community practices, and empower them to care for their children and protect them from targeted diseases, through field visits and referrals of children suffering from malaria, respiratory infections, and diarrhea to health center
