🩺 Strengthening Healthcare Workers’ Capacity for Cholera Response in El Nuhud

Alhamdulillah, the five-day training course on Cholera Case Management, Triage, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Healthcare Waste Management has been successfully concluded for healthcare workers in El Nuhud Locality.

The training was implemented by CAFA Development Organization – West Kordofan Office, in collaboration with the West Kordofan State Ministry of Health, bringing together 30 healthcare workers directly involved in cholera case management.

Conducted at a critical time following recent cholera alerts in El Nuhud Locality, the training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of frontline healthcare workers, enhance their preparedness, and improve the quality and effectiveness of the health sector’s response to potential cholera outbreaks.

The course combined theoretical knowledge with practical sessions covering case management, patient triage, infection prevention and control (IPC), and the safe management of healthcare waste to ensure the delivery of quality care while protecting both patients and healthcare providers.

Participants highly appreciated the quality of the training and its practical relevance, actively engaging throughout the sessions. They also commended the facilitators for their professionalism and their ability to deliver technical content in a clear, practical, and interactive manner, contributing to the successful achievement of the training objectives.
