Within the framework of the Multi-Sectoral Humanitarian Response Project, which addresses needs in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Non-Food Items (NFIs), Health and Nutrition, and Food Security, and in partnership with the International Relief Organization, with support from the Sudan Humanitarian Fund, and in coordination with the Ministry of Health – Al-Jazirah State, and as part of efforts to promote and improve maternal and child health and to strengthen community health systems and the integrated management of illnesses among children under five years of age,

KAFA Organization in Al-Jazirah State conducted a training for 24 community health workers (9 males and 15 females) on Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) for childhood illnesses in East Al-Jazirah Locality (Rufaa, Bant, Al-Buwayda, and Dalout Al-Bahr).

The training lasted for four days, from 28/12 to 31/12, and was held at Al-Butana University, Faculty of Education Hall.

The training was facilitated by trainers from the Maternal and Child Health Department, Ministry of Health – Al-Jazirah State.
