CAFA and IRC Teams Conduct Field Visit to Northern Rural Areas under the Emergency Life-Saving Assistance Project

As part of the partnership between CAFA Development Organization and the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health – Khartoum State and the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), a joint field visit was conducted on 23 December 2025 to health centers in the northern rural areas of Al-Sheikh Al-Tayeb and Al-Ameriya.

The visit forms part of the Emergency Life-Saving Assistance Project, which targets the most vulnerable displaced populations and affected host communities impacted by the conflict in Sudan.

During the visit, meetings were held with local authorities and community representatives to select Community Health Volunteers (CHVs). A total of 10 volunteers were selected, and Al-Sheikh Al-Tayeb was designated as the training site.
