Joint Field Visit by CAFA and Triangle Génération Humanitaire to Monitor Safe and Child-Friendly Spaces Activities in East Al Jazirah

As part of the Multi-Sectoral Life-Saving Assistance Project for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Returnees in Host Communities in East Al Jazirah Locality, implemented by CAFA in partnership with Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) and funded by the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), a joint field visit was conducted to Dalout Al Bahr area in East Al Jazirah.

The visit was carried out within the framework of TGH’s regular field monitoring missions with its partners in Al Jazirah State, aiming to assess the progress of activities implemented through Child-Friendly Spaces and Safe Spaces for Women and Girls, and to evaluate the overall implementation of planned project interventions.

During the visit, the team observed psychosocial support sessions provided to children, women, and girls, and reviewed the extent to which beneficiaries are accessing and benefiting from the services offered within the safe and child-friendly spaces. The mission also assessed operational challenges affecting project activities and field teams.

In addition, meetings were held with psychosocial counselors and supervisors responsible for facilitating the sessions to discuss implementation progress, operational needs, and opportunities to strengthen service quality. The team also engaged with community members to better understand their priority humanitarian and development needs and identify potential areas for future support.

The visit highlighted the importance of continuing psychosocial support activities as a key protection intervention that contributes to the well-being and resilience of children, women, and girls affected by humanitarian crises, while supporting recovery efforts and strengthening community cohesion in the targeted areas.
