CAFA Executive Director Visits Community Health Training

As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts, Mr. Yassir Ibrahim, Executive Director of CAFA for Development, visited the Northern Rural Area. He was accompanied by Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Programs Manager at the Khartoum Office.

The visit coincided with the closing session of a training for community health volunteers on maternal care and newborn health.

Training Overview

The training took place from February 9 to 11, 2026, in Karari locality – Sheikh Al-Tayeb.
It was implemented under the multi-sectoral emergency response project targeting vulnerable returnees and host communities affected by the war in Sudan.

Moreover, the project is funded by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health – Khartoum State.

Participation and Engagement

The event brought together representatives from IRC, the Humanitarian Aid Commission, and the Ministry of Health.
In addition, CAFA’s project team and ten community health volunteers actively participated.

Leadership Remarks

During his remarks, Mr. Yassir Ibrahim praised the volunteers’ commitment and initiative.
He emphasized that they represent the foundation of a healthier and more resilient community.

Furthermore, he expressed appreciation to IRC and local partners for their continuous support and collaboration.
