**CAFA Hosts Protection Sector Meeting in Al Jazira State**

On **23 September 2026**, **CAFA Development Organization** hosted the **Protection Sector Meeting in Al Jazira State**, bringing together organizations working in the protection sector, along with the **Child Welfare Council** and the **Ministry of Social Welfare and Development**.

The meeting discussed several key areas, including:

Reviewing **protection activities and projects** implemented by organizations across the state.

Discussing the **challenges and needs** affecting protection sector interventions.

Discussing preparations for a **comprehensive protection sector assessment in Al Jazira State**, which will be conducted in coordination with other sectors and will cover **all localities across the state** in the coming period.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen **coordination and collaboration between government authorities and organizations working in the protection sector**, facilitate information and experience sharing, and contribute to improving the response to protection needs across Al Jazira State.
