As part of the Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) Project in Al Jazirah State, Cafa Organization conducted household identification and registration activities in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), with support from the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare and Development and the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC).

The registration covered the localities of Greater Madani (Al Mansoura East and West neighborhoods) and South Al Jazirah (Wad Al Nour and Al Kumeir Fazari villages). A total of 720 households were targeted by the project.

Awareness Sessions for Beneficiaries

During the registration period, Cafa organized awareness sessions for beneficiaries to ensure a clear understanding of the project and its implementation process. The sessions covered the following topics:

1. Introduction to the project and its objectives: explaining the purpose of the MPCA project and its role in supporting vulnerable households and easing living burdens.

2. Targeting criteria: clarifying the categories of beneficiaries and the selection process based on humanitarian standards.

3. Cash distribution mechanism: explaining the number of cash distribution rounds and the expected timeline for each round.

4. Guidance on the use of cash assistance: encouraging households to prioritize essential needs such as food, healthcare, education, and other basic necessities.

These sessions helped enhance project transparency and enabled beneficiaries to make effective use of the assistance provided.
