Gedaref State – Sudan

CAFA Development Organization – Gedaref State conducted awareness meetings with local communities and authorities. The activity was implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Guidance, in partnership with Save the Children, and with support from NORAD.

Moreover, the activity was carried out under the project “Protecting Children’s Rights Now and in the Future.”

Encouraging Children to Return to Education

The meetings aimed to encourage out-of-school children to enroll in education. In addition, they sought to raise awareness about education as a fundamental right for every child.

Furthermore, the sessions highlighted the important role of families in supporting children’s education. Likewise, participants discussed how communities can help reduce school dropout rates.

Al-Wadi Neighborhood
Al-Tadamon Charity Area
Muadh Ibn Jabal

Strengthening Community Collaboration

In addition, the activity helped strengthen cooperation between local communities and relevant authorities.

At the same time, participants discussed challenges that prevent some children from accessing education. They also explored practical solutions to address these barriers.

Moreover, the meetings emphasized the importance of creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all children.
