Refresher Training for Community Protection Networks and Family & Child Protection Actors in El Obeid

Cafa Organization for Development – North Kordofan (El Obeid), in collaboration with the Social Development Sector and with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), conducted a refresher training for Community Protection Networks, social researchers, and members of the Family and Child Protection Unit under the project “Support to Protection Services for Families and Children Affected by War and Displacement.” The training was held on 4 December 2025 at the organization’s premises.

The training targeted seven (7) community protection networks, social researchers, and members of the Family and Child Protection Unit. It aimed to strengthen participants’ capacities in core protection issues, enhance their skills in early risk identification, safe referral mechanisms, and improve coordination between protection networks and relevant authorities. The training also focused on reinforcing the role of community protection networks as the first line of defense within the community and empowering them to provide support and assistance to the most at-risk groups, thereby contributing to improved community response and the building of a safer, more resilient community capable of addressing challenges effectively.
