Capacity Building for Community Health Promoters

Within the Cholera Emergency Response Project, CAFA  Development Organization , in partnership with IRC and supported by SHF, conducted specialized training for 30 Community Health Promoters.
Specifically, 15 participants were from Tendelti, while 15 others were from Jebelain.

Key Training Focus Areas

The training covered several essential topics. In particular, it focused on:
✔️ Strengthening community-based early warning systems
✔️ Harmonizing behavior change messaging for cholera prevention
✔️ Integrating WASH interventions with health promotion activities
✔️ Enhancing accountability and two-way community engagement

Supporting Frontline Workers

In addition to the training, Ramadan food baskets were distributed to participants. This gesture aimed to recognize their commitment and support their efforts during the response period.

Building Sustainable Impact

By investing in community health promoters, CAFA strengthens the first line of defense against outbreaks. As a result, communities become more protected and resilient.
