Alhamdulillah, a five-day training course on Cholera Case Management, Triage, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Healthcare Waste Management has been successfully completed for healthcare workers in El Nuhud Locality.

The training was organized by CAFA Development Organization – West Kordofan Office in collaboration with the West Kordofan State Ministry of Health. It brought together 30 healthcare workers who are directly involved in cholera case management.

Building Preparedness for Cholera Response

The training was conducted at a critical time following recent cholera alerts in El Nuhud Locality. Therefore, it focused on improving the knowledge and practical skills of frontline healthcare workers. In addition, it aimed to strengthen their preparedness and improve the quality of the health sector’s response to potential cholera outbreaks.

Practical Skills for Better Patient Care

Throughout the five days, participants attended both theoretical and practical sessions. They learned about cholera case management, patient triage, infection prevention and control (IPC), and the safe management of healthcare waste. As a result, they gained practical skills that will help them provide quality care while protecting both patients and healthcare workers.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the quality and relevance of the training. Moreover, they actively participated in discussions and practical exercises throughout the course. They also praised the facilitators for presenting technical information in a clear, practical, and interactive way. Consequently, the training successfully achieved its learning objectives.
