Engaging Men and Boys to Address Gender-Based Violence 🟣

As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, CAFA for Development – Gedaref Office, in partnership with Save the Children, implemented a specialized training workshop.

The workshop was titled:
“Engaging Boys and Men in Gender Identity Issues and Changing Harmful Attitudes, Beliefs, and Practices that Contribute to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.”

🎯 Target Group

The workshop targeted teachers and school principals from four localities:

• Gedaref Municipality
• Al-Qalabat Al-Gharbia
• Central Gedaref
• Al-Fashaga

🌍 Objectives

The training aimed to:

• Promote understanding of gender issues
• Engage men and boys in prevention efforts
• Challenge harmful social norms and practices
• Support safer learning environments for children

🤝 Project Framework

This activity is part of the project:
“Working on Child Protection Now and in the Future,”
which focuses on strengthening child protection systems and building safer communities.
