On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, CAFA for Development welcomed a UNICEF delegation for a field visit to monitor activities supported by UNICEF and assess their impact on the community.

The visit began with an inspection of protection networks and beneficiaries in Al-Shohada neighborhood, where the delegation reviewed progress, listened to challenges, and discussed recommendations for improved performance.

The visit concluded with a meeting with the State Council, attended by UNICEF’s Protection Officer and CAFA’s team, focusing on challenges, proposed recommendations, and partner readiness for upcoming programs, while emphasizing the importance of coordination and sustained partnership.

In parallel, CAFA hosted officials from the Water and Environmental Sanitation sector. With UNICEF representative Eng. Mohamed Abdelkarim, a broad meeting was held with WASH actors to review updates on IDP camps and discuss the situation of displaced and host communities, highlighting the need for stronger coordination and participatory approaches to ensure effective humanitarian response.
